Kinkaku-ji, the Temple of the Golden Pavilion, is the most visited World Heritage site in Kyoto, Japan. The Zen temple dates back 700 years, with the current structure built in 1955, and was designed to unify the three most prevalent styles of contemporary Japanese architecture.
